State Owned Banks Will Rip You Off When You Buy Their Insurance Products

Market Wire, March, 2010

A recent investigation by the Daily Mail has revealed that banks which were bailed out by the tax-payer, and are now predominantly state- owned, are overcharging their customers by hundreds of pounds compared to the premiums charged by insurance brokers and on-line providers. The investigation discovered that RBS/Natwest and Lloyds Banking Group are selling car, home and travel insurance to their loyal customers at a rate which is obscenely high.

The figures showed that in some cases a family of four would pay GBP 1,330 more by going with the Halifax, a retired couple would be GBP 364 worse off by choosing RBS/Natwest and a young couple who were customers of either of these banks would pay up to GBP 493 more than if they went to a comparison site. The young couple would be charged GBP 927 by RBS/Natwest, GBP 869 by LloydsTSB and GBP 793 by HSBC. But online they would only have paid GBP 434, and GBP 529 through an insurance broker. A family insuring just their home in Bristol would pay GBP 361 through LloydsTSB, GBP 354 through Halifax and GBP 338 through RBS/Natwest

With the first,

With the first, you?re forcing her to do all the thinking and decision making for herself. With the other you are simply presenting options, allowing her to make a decision based on what she desires. That is how you want your visitors to feel. You want them to go where they want, but at the same time be leasing them, through various routs, to the point of action (i.e. sale, conversion, sign-up, etc.)

Emotive Colors

Colors fuel emotions so be sure the colors you use for your website bring out the emotions that best reach your audience. Integrating color elements effectively can create a more inviting website that can easily lead your visitors to take the desired actions.

Calls to Action

You?ve heard the saying, ?you can lead a horse to water, but you can?t make him drink.? On the web, many people try to get the horse to drink without even leading him to water.

In right to left addition, several numbers

July 29, 2010 - 10:43 am No Comments

In right to left addition, several numbers must be remembered as the student proceeds. To illustrate this, consider the simple example, 64 + 88. In left to right addition, the sum is simple to find: 60, 140, 144, 152. Only one number had to be remembered at any point. In right to left addition, 4 + 8 is 12, so there are already two numbers to remember: the two in the ones place and the regrouped ten. The next step is to add 60 + 80 + 10 to get 150. At this point, the two must be recalled and added to the 150 to get 152. Although this sounds simple, it becomes more complicated with more digits.

Right to left addition does not require numbers to be lined up in a column, but it is often taught that way because the method tends to ignore place value and relies on a student’s ability to line up the place values to compensate. Many errors that students make in right to left addition occur because they don’t have a strong knowledge of place value, and they forget or don’t realize that like place values need to be lined up.

To change behavior

July 29, 2010 - 3:44 am No Comments

To change behavior begins by identifying the beliefs that are reflected through our attitudes and demonstrated by our behaviors.

For example, recently I began working with a new coaching client who was looking to build her real estate business. She acknowledged that she needed to attend more networking events to increase her contacts. As we explored what type of events to attend, she admitted that she really didn’t like to attend networking events because she was more of an introvert than many people realized.

As the dialogue continued, I suggested that her reluctance to attend networking events many have a lot more to do with her own negative conditioning ?

I don’t really like to go to these events

? than she realized. She in essence was confirming a belief that because she was an introvert; she was uncomfortable at these events even though she knew that she needed to attend.

Quickly she realized that her beliefs of being an introvert were holding her back and that she could now begin to change her beliefs that would change her attitudes and therefore her behaviors.

Create a concept and make

July 29, 2010 - 2:29 am No Comments

Create a concept and make it good. When you have finalized your ideas, it is time to shoot. When taking your shots, bear in mind your target media ? the iPod. The small screen will not be able to display too many details so it is a good idea to get close when shooting. Do not use the wide-screen mode but use the standard mode instead. Optimize bandwidth and battery power by shooting several short segments instead of one full-length film. Edit! Small screen viewing will not show text clearly unless they are large enough. Also bear in mind that fast motion and high contrast might not show very clearly on the small screen.

Now that you have your video, it’s time to compress it. This needs to be done so that the video will be optimized for web and iPod viewing. There are different ways you can do this. If you have a MAC, it?s no big deal. You can compress and export your video using iMovie HD6 simply by clicking the following: FILE>Export>iPod>Share.

So, Partner Yoga can

July 28, 2010 - 11:25 pm No Comments

So, Partner Yoga can be adapted and re-define the purpose of a Yoga class.

We know that Yoga training helps people in every aspect of health. However, Partner Yoga integrates Yoga with touch, bonding, and sometimes, a bit of humor. All of these, combined with Yoga practice, make for a very healthy activity. Despite all of this, Partner Yoga seems to be resigned to workshops. Partner Yoga is also a good ?at home practice? to be shared among loved ones.

Prenatal Yoga: To be blunt – If you are teaching pregnant students without their doctor’s approval, and you are not a certified Prenatal Yoga instructor, you are “playing with fire.” It is hard enough in a Yoga class to address the needs of all students. For pregnant Yoga students, I recommend a specific Prenatal Yoga class.

This may seem a bit harsh, but Yoga instructors need to protect themselves, legally, as well as the health of all their students. Once you research all the precautions and guidelines for Prenatal Yoga, you will fully understand my point.

Just to ?scratch the surface of the iceberg,? here are a few ideas to consider.

The electricity biomass produces can be used

July 28, 2010 - 12:23 pm No Comments

The electricity biomass produces can be used to power many different things from industries to homes, and once properly researched and put into use, biomass will definitely cut down on the world’s use of fossil fuels and other harmful sources of energy.

The most common types of biomass can be grouped into one of three categories. Wood (and related) products are things like lawn clippings, wood chips, leftover wood scraps from lumber production, dead trees and leaves. Garbage products are items within garbage that people generate that can be used to burn as fuel, or landfill gases, which are produced when garbage rots (methane). Ethanol and biodiesel are both fossil fuel replacements made from either corn or other crops (ethanol) or vegetable oil and animal fat (biodiesel). All of these can result in biomass fuel to produce electricity.

The landfill gas, also known as biogas or methane, is often collected by landfill owners or farmers to be used as fuel. The burning of this fuel can either power a generator for electricity or be used to heat property.
